Summer Camps
MUSICAL THEATER AND VISUAL ARTS INTENSIVE CAMPS
Our camps are held in Basking Ridge, NJ and Lebanon, NJ. Students from all surrounding towns are welcome!

MUSICAL THEATRE INTENSIVE
BASKING RIDGE, NJ
Our Musical Theater Intensive camp will explore the multiple disciplines of musical theatre through classes in singing, dancing, and acting as well as special workshops. It will conclude with a cabaret-style performance showcasing their talents. The show is designed around the talents of the students in order to give EVERY student their moment to shine! Our Musical Theatre Intensive is intended for students in grades 7 through college. Students are grouped based on age and level. See below for details.
VISUAL ARTS INTENSIVE
BASKING RIDGE AND LEBANON, NJ
This camp is open to students entering grades 6 through 12 with a love of art. To help students build their technique and develop their style, students will attend classes in general and figure drawing, sculpture, portraiture, and printmaking. All artwork created during the summer camp will be on display for everyone to admire prior to the Musical Theatre Intensive Performance. Please see below for more details.
JUNIOR MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP
LEBANON, NJ
Our Junior Musical Theater Camp will introduce the students to the arts of singing, dancing, and acting. They will also have classes in audition technique as well as the behind-the-scenes work in theatre including set-design, costume-design, and more. It will conclude with an informal cabaret-style performance showcasing their talents. The Junior Musical Theatre Camp is open to students in grades 3-8 (special consideration for enthusiastic 2nd graders). Students are grouped based on age and level. See below for details.

WHO: Open to all students entering 7th through 12th grade in September 2020. Beginners are welcome! Special consideration may be made for experienced and enthusiastic 6th-grade students.

PERFORMANCE: Friday, July 17th at 6:30 PM (students arrive at 5:15 PM)

*Master Class/Workshop Option- During this class period, students will have the opportunity to attend a master class where they may perform solos and receive feedback (volunteers). This is a great opportunity for students to fine-tune their audition repertoire! Additional masterclasses will focus on audition technique, body movement and voice for actors, cold readings, scene work, and even musical theater dance basics. Students selected to perform solos in the showcase will workshop their songs during this time as well.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the culminating performance on (tentatively scheduled for...) Friday, July 17, 2020 at 6:30 PM in the Ridge High School Performing Arts Center.

TENTATIVE COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
Sculpture: Students work in the third dimension with found materials, cardboard, papier-mâché, and clay.
Claymation: Using personal devices, students will create an original stop-motion video. Students will establish a storyboard with a plot, original characters, and a miniature set.
Printmaking: Students explore traditional and innovative printmaking techniques such as collagraphs and monoprints to make greeting cards.
Acrylic Painting: Students will be introduced to acrylic painting techniques in addition to basic color-mixing while receiving instruction for painting a landscape.
General and Figure Drawing: Improve drawing skills by focusing on form, proportion, and values. Media used includes charcoal, graphite, and chalk pastel.
*Apprenticeship Program: This is offered to a maximum of 4 students in grades 10-12. These students will learn the techniques in each course and will be given the opportunity to work independently on their projects at a more advanced level while receiving valuable feedback from the instructor. They will also assist the teacher in beginning and ending projects with younger students. Great for students looking to build and round-out their portfolio!

FINE TUNED PERFORMING ARTS
WAIVER
I understand that Fined Tuned Performing Arts is not responsible for any person or student who may be injured in class, performance or on the premises and fully accept to participate in the Fine Tuned Performing Arts intensive classes, instruction, performances and/or activities. I do understand the risk involved and the nature of dance movement and physical activity and that training is at the own risk of the student and waive all claims of actions against Fine Tuned Performing Arts and its associates and instructors.
Any student enrolled or participating in any activity in Fine Tuned Performing Arts programs acknowledges they are in good physical condition and are able to perform activities within the enrolled class, intensive and/or performance. Any medical conditions must be made known prior to the start of class enrollment and is at the student’s own risk.
The party or individual responsible for the student participating is advised to provide medical insurance for the student or participant and will not hold Fine Tuned Performing Arts and its agents, guests or employees liable in the event of any accident, injury or claim. In case of an emergency, and the emergency contact is not reachable, I give permission to the staff to obtain emergency medical treatment or render aid for any injury that may occur while attending classes at Fine Tuned Performing Arts or any related activities.
Additionally, I grant permission for use of any photos or videos for the promotional use of Fine Tuned Performing Arts.
